Healing is not linear

My Thoughts About Treatment And How I Can Help You

As an LCSW I can and do “talk therapy”. For me, in my work, there is a focus on “feelings” (the interface between the “self” and the environment and the foundation of trust and safety). I have lots of successful experience with trauma, personality disorders, OCD, grief, psychosis, Kundalini, developmental psychology, relationships, anxiety, and depression, etc.. In addition to the many hours of CEU trainings I completed three years of post-graduate training in Gestalt Therapy, I have completed Basic Hypnosis training, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Certification Levels I and II.

It is my assumption that we start with “talk therapy”. Meeting once per week based on affordability is normal. I have a sliding fee for those without insurance.

For several reasons I have elected NOT to be in insurance company networks. I am an out-of-network provider in most insurance companies data bases mostly because trauma work usually requires more than the few sessions allowed to network providers.

There are treatments that are effective for many conditions that are, sadly, not yet approved for insurance company reimbursement. It just so happens that I have good experience with some of those treatments. Specifically, EMDR, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and EEM (Eden Energy Medicine. I was an EEM-AP (Advanced Practitioner) from 2012–2025). I like EEM because Donna Eden has identified 9 energy systems and how to balance them. I also learned how to test and correct other energy anomalies.

There are a few other things that have been shown (by research) to be effective that fall under headings like spirituality, body/mind work, physical, nutritional, etc. I am open to discussing those things as they come up.

Treatment is effective if there is a good rapport between the client and therapist.
